At Asset Living, we’re dedicated to doing good while doing well, and constantly looking for ways to serve our communities. We’ve been given an opportunity to join our partner, Covenant House – a global non-profit that provides care to homeless youth – for their annual Sleep Out event on November 18. The Sleep Out is a night dedicated to sleeping out in solidarity to raise awareness around the more than 2,500 young people who come to Covenant House Texas each year seeking safe shelter, nourishing food, clean clothing, and essential services like job training, education, healthcare, mental health counseling, and legal aid. The funds raised during the Sleep Out will help Covenant House Texas provide 24/7 care, and the awareness raised will help to shed some light on the youth homelessness crisis.
At night, sleepers will give up their beds and Sleep Out in backyards, garages, porches, terraces, and floors across Texas. Please note that sleepers will likely need to be over the age of 18 to participate, unless attending with a parent or guardian.
We'd like to extend an invite to everyone in the Asset Living family and beyond to participate in this annual event. The best part is – no matter what city you’re in – you can participate from anywhere. Virtual sleepers will have the opportunity to be anywhere and invite anyone (a great option for friends and families) to participate in a live, interactive online program with Covenant House alumni, front-line staff, and fellow sleepers from across the globe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should we participate virtually or in-person?
Everyone who registers will participate as a remote/virtual sleeper. You do not need to go anywhere and more information – including a link to participate in the webcasted event – will be supplied via email.
How does a virtual Sleep Out work?
The virtual Sleep Out begins at 6 p.m. CST on 11/18 and runs until 7 a.m. on 11/19. All remote sleepers will give up their beds and Sleep Out in backyards, garages, porches, terraces, and floors across the country. No glamping please – it’s suggested to not use tents or air mattresses to make the experience as authentic as possible.
Who do I Sleep Out with?
You can ask anyone to Sleep Out with you! This could be your friends, family, neighbors, team members – anyone and everyone you feel comfortable asking to join you at your remote location.
Can I still join the event in-person if I wanted to do that on my own?
The live event at Minute Maid Park is invite only and one must meet all qualifications in order to attend. Details on the qualifications and live event at Minute Maid Park are available here.
