Just a few short months ago, tragedy struck at a property in Phoenix when a fire broke out. In the face of danger, Asset Living Maintenance Supervisor Kurtavis Robertson and his team acted without hesitation. They helped two women escape from a second-story window as smoke and flames engulfed their apartment. They pulled a man to safety from a smoke-filled first-floor unit. Their quick thinking and selflessness changed lives forever.
They were not alone in their efforts. That night Asset Living Regional Vice President Cheryl Davis was on-site providing support to both the team and displaced residents. Community Manager Maria Ahumada stepped in as well, offering guidance and assistance after recently leading her own team through a similar crisis.
It’s important to be clear—our teams’ safety is always our top priority. No one is ever expected to put themselves at risk in an emergency. But what this moment reveals is something deeper: the incredible heart, selflessness, and dedication that exists within Asset Living.
