Scranton, PA (Dec. 15, 2021) – Campus Kaizen announced today a partnership with Asset Living to deliver the student housing industry’s leading roommate matching and self-selection software, My College Roomie, to Asset Living communities. For ten years in a row, Asset Living has been ranked the number one third-party property manager in the nation by Student Housing Business and currently has over 240 student properties across its portfolio. Beginning in the spring of 2022, My College Roomie is expected to provide roommate self-selection software and will be available for residents at most of Asset Living’s student housing properties.
My College Roomie, a flagship product of Campus Kaizen, allows residents to search for potential roommates by lifestyle preferences, interests and hobbies, and overall compatibility scores. Each of Asset Living’s properties that utilize the service will have branded environments and mobile applications for their residents to connect and select great roommates, while also being tailored to allow matches to be made in accordance with each property’s unique floor plans, unit sizes and timelines.
Designed to allow residents to take ownership in determining who they live with, My College Roomie uses a private social environment with tools to guide roommate matching efforts and to help identify great matches. Once a resident signs a lease, they’ll be automatically invited to participate in My College Roomie. After a resident selects compatible roommates, My College Roomie will automatically update the property’s leasing software with the resident’s selections.
“At Asset Living, we’re constantly looking at new ways we can invest in our residents and enhance their overall experience, and the student housing team is excited to officially implement the My College Roomie software across participating properties this spring,” says David Walther, Chief Revenue Officer at Asset Living. “As the leader in student housing property management, we’re expected to provide the industry’s best resources for our properties and residents, which is why we’re excited to offer My College Roomie at many of our properties.”
According to Jay Sensi, CEO of Campus Kaizen, My College Roomie helps create more successful roommate groups, alleviates conflicts and room change requests, and provides a key amenity that student residents have come to expect.
“Having grown My College Roomie to be the number one Roommate Matching software on campus, we’re excited that our new partnership with Asset Living will showcase how My College Roomie’s unique feature set also makes it the best option for the private student housing market,” Sensi shared. “Student housing providers have options when it comes to Roommate Matching services, but those that want the absolute best for their residents choose My College Roomie.”
