ORLANDO (February 9, 2023) – Asset Living, one of the largest property management providers in the United States, is pleased to announce Sheena Griffin, Regional Supervisor for the multi-family division, as the newest executive board member for the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando (AAGO). She assumed her new title and role after the official induction ceremony, which took place on January 26, 2023.
As a board member, Griffin is looking forward in being able to contribute to making an impact within the property management industry, specifically locally in Central Florida. "For some time, I have wanted to get myself out there and become more involved with AAGO. Serving on the board is more than just attending meetings and working with other volunteers. I want the opportunity to develop relationships with other colleagues and have a true impact on the decisions that affect our industry here in Central Florida,” says Griffin.
Griffin is also looking forward to mentoring and sharing her knowledge with the members of AAGO and continuing to develop her teams within Asset Living. "I have made it to where I am in my profession because others have opened doors for me and serving on the board puts me in a unique space to be able to open doors for others. I want to help make a difference in the lives of others, all while doing something that I love. For me, on a personal level, it's about making sure everybody has a seat at the table. I will continue to challenge myself in this developing field by pushing myself, being a leader, and continuing to learn and explore what’s new in this industry. I am passionate about making a difference. I believe that I can make a difference by helping to push others in our industry (including the new talent in our area) to get involved with their local apartment association and community,” says Griffin.
“At both Asset Living and AAGO, we believe that we are one team, working together to get things done. We embrace learning, challenging ourselves to do more, and do it better in a diverse environment with a promise to build culture, create purpose, improve cohesion, and ensure equality. Asset Living’s vision of continuing to serve our industry, communities, and partners as the most trusted partner in real estate is what sets us apart from others. At Asset Living, the only limits are the ones you set for yourself, and since day one, I’ve felt surrounded by people that genuinely want to see me succeed,” says Griffin.
“I believe that leadership is not about titles or positions but about one life influencing another. “Be the change you wish to see in the world” is a quote that inspires me each day and reminds me of how everyone has the power to make an impact,” says Griffin.
