HOUSTON (OCTOBER 21, 2024) – Asset Living is pleased to announce Monica Barto as the new Chief Property Accounting Officer within Asset Living's property accounting team. With over 25 years of experience in the property management industry, Monica will report to the Houston office and support her team in evaluating processes and controls to ensure best practices and alignment with the organization's continued growth.
"My goals for the rest of 2024 are to lead, mentor, and continue to support the development of a best-in-class property accounting team," says Barto.
Before joining Asset Living, Monica was the Chief Financial Officer at ZRS Management. There, she oversaw corporate and property accounting, treasury, and human resources. Her experience also includes strategic planning, risk management, and driving business growth. Monica is a Certified Public Account and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University.
"[In this role], I look forward to learning from and collaborating with some of the brightest and hardest-working people in the industry," says Barto. "I want to create a team environment that encourages solution-seeking, innovation, and adaptability to maximize efficiencies."
Outside the office, Monica enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring the outdoors, trying out new recipes, reading, and traveling.
